East End Punchpooran, also known as Panch Phoron, is a traditional blend of five whole spices used in Bengali and Eastern Indian cooking. This aromatic spice mix delivers a unique balance of flavours—earthy, bitter, sweet, and pungent—perfect for tempering and enhancing a wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.

Flavour & Aroma
This five-spice mix combines the bitterness of fenugreek, the sweetness of fennel, the sharpness of mustard, the pungency of nigella, and the warmth of cumin. When added to hot oil, the spices release their essential oils and create a deeply aromatic base for many dishes.

Preparation and Usage
Ideal for tempering dals, vegetable dishes, lentils, and curries. Add 1–2 teaspoons of Punchpooran to hot oil at the beginning of cooking to release the full aroma. Can also be used in pickles and spice rubs.
