Firm and earthy when cooked, with a mild nutty taste. These dried chickpeas absorb flavours well when soaked and cooked, turning soft, creamy, and slightly buttery depending on preparation.

Typical Uses
Rinse and soak overnight before cooking to reduce cooking time and enhance digestibility. Commonly used in soups, curries, stews, salads, falafel, hummus, and roasted chickpea snacks.

Preparation Tip
Soak for 8–12 hours, then drain and simmer in fresh water for about 60‑90 minutes (or pressure‑cook). Salt near the end of cooking to prevent tough skins
